How to find a good graphic designer and a good programmer?

Every company should know how to find a good graphic designer and a good programmer.
Estar en las redes sociales no es tener un sitio web
I’ve always known it and I’ve always said it:
Good designers are not made are born.. Creativity is not something that can be taught.
Good programmers are always at the forefront and constantly evolving, having a bachelor’s degree, an engineering degree or a master’s degree will not make you the best programmer, in this field programming languages and technology are constantly changing.

Let’s be realistic and objective, these 2 people have something in common, both a good graphic designer and a good programmer are united by the simple fact that they don’t need to study a career to be the best in their area..

Where do you learn to be a good graphic designer?

A graphic design degree teaches how to use the tools, color theory, some marketing… But there is no subject that teaches how to be original or creative and it is this that stands out and defines a good graphic designer.

Where do you learn to be a good programmer?

In Mexico there is no degree or engineering to be a programmer. Computer technology today covers too many branches, the careers of private and public universities would be enough to create another 20 careers…

In the IT careers they teach a little bit of a lot, they teach them to keep learning, to have the basics of everything… but having the basics is not enough to compete in the market or to be the best, that is to say, they DO NOT TEACH ANYTHING.

Let’s take UNAM as an example, the highest house of studies in Mexico. Its bachelor’s degree in computer science and computer engineering talking about programming are obsolete, at the end of the career have learned programming languages that are dead or half dead zombie languages because the schools are still teaching it when their success of that language was 30 years ago. Those who finish these careers know a little of a lot but the truth is that they do not know anything specific and I say specific because they are not specialized in anything, this should be like a career in medicine the difference is that diseases and symptoms are not modified but here languages and technology are constantly changing and neither the UNAM nor other schools take this into account.

What defines a good graphic designer and a good programmer?

GRAPHIC DESIGNERS. Talent and creativity.
Many times I receive cv’s from graphic designers and I ask for their portfolio, some of them answer “I don’t have one, I just finished my career” a good graphic designer draws, paints, digitalizes, colors, retouches …. He has been designing since he was a child, it is impossible and impossible not to have a portfolio.

PROGRAMMERS. Ability to be self-taught.
A good programmer knows a flowchart before understanding its meaning in programming, never ceases to be at the forefront, is not locked in only one programming language, is always learning.

CONCLUSION

A good graphic designer, no matter how much he has studied in the best school, does not believe he is born, since talent and creativity is something non-transferable that cannot be taught anywhere. A good programmer has the ability to be self-taught and contrary to the belief that a programmer is square must also have the ability to adapt and detachment.

I am not saying that studying a degree or engineering does not make you a good graphic designer or a good programmer. And this is already well known Mark Zuckerberg founder of facebook, Steve Jobs father of Apple and the same Bill Gates founder of Microsoft none finished college.

A good graphic designer and a good programmer can be compared as a medical student, first they learn all the “common” and then they have to specialize in something, a designer in 3D, vectorization or both, a programmer must know a server and can specialize in web programming, apps or both for example …
